This Privacy Policy explains how Family Buddy handles your information. Sections 1 to 9 cover the Family Buddy app (the "App"). Section 10 covers this website, which is separate and collects different information. Your privacy is important to us, and we aim to be transparent and minimal in our data practices.

1. Overview

Family Buddy is designed to operate primarily on your device. We do not require user accounts and do not collect personal information unless explicitly stated below.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

The App allows you to create content such as:

• Child profiles
• Tasks, routines, and rewards
• Points and history records

This information is stored locally on your device.

We may request access to your device’s camera or photo library to allow you to customize profiles or add images within the App. Any images you select or capture remain stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers.

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

The App may collect limited, non-personal information for operational purposes, such as:

• App version
• Device type and operating system version
• Anonymous diagnostics or crash reports

This information is used solely to improve app stability and performance.

2.3 Advertising Data

The free version of the App may display advertisements. Advertising partners may collect limited information such as device identifiers or interaction data in accordance with their own privacy policies. Family Buddy does not have access to or control over data collected by third-party advertising providers.

3. How We Use Information

We use information collected to:

• Provide and operate the App’s features
• Improve app performance and reliability
• Display advertisements in supported versions

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Data Storage and Security

All primary app data is stored locally on your device. We do not store your data on our servers. You are responsible for safeguarding your data, including managing device security and backups where available.

5. Backup and Export

If available, backup or export features allow you to create copies of your data. These backups are stored wherever you choose (e.g., your device storage or personal cloud services). Family Buddy does not control or access exported data once it leaves the App.

6. Data Retention

Your data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. Uninstalling the App will permanently remove locally stored data unless you have created a backup.

7. Children’s Privacy

Family Buddy is intended for use by parents or legal guardians. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Any child-related information entered into the App is provided and managed by an adult user and remains stored locally on the device.

8. Third-Party Services

The App may use third-party services for:

• Advertising
• Analytics or crash reporting

These services operate under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review those policies separately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.

10. This Website (familybuddy.space)

Sections 1 to 9 describe the Family Buddy app. This section describes the website, which is separate and collects different information.

10.1 Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which parts of this website people use and how they arrived. It sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_9R7V215L2K, which give your browser a random identifier so repeat visits can be counted as one person rather than several. Google ’s documented default is that these expire after two years, and the expiry is refreshed each time you visit.

When a page loads, the following is sent to Google: the random identifier, the page address and title, your screen resolution, your browser language, and your operating system and its version. If you tap a download button we also record which button it was and which store it pointed to. If you use the share button we record whether your device offered a share sheet or the link was copied.

Your family’s data is not part of any of this. Children, tasks, points and rewards live on your device inside the app, as set out in section 4. They are never sent to this website and this website has no way to reach them. There is no account and no sign-up here.

10.2 When the cookies are set

If your device is set to a timezone in Europe or the United Kingdom, no analytics run and no cookies are set until you choose “Allow” on the notice at the bottom of the page. If you choose “No thanks”, nothing is loaded and nothing is stored.

Everywhere else, including Singapore, analytics load when the page opens. You can turn them off at any time using the control below.

10.3 Turning it off

The control at the end of this page switches analytics off and deletes the cookies described above. It takes effect immediately and you can switch it back on whenever you like. There is also a “Cookies” link in the footer of every page that brings you here.

10.4 Who receives it

Google, as the provider of Google Analytics. We do not sell this information, and it is not combined with anything from the app. The app does not send us anything to combine it with. Google’s handling of the data it receives is governed by its own privacy policy.

10.5 Ads

The advertising described in section 2.3 is shown inside the free version of the app. This website carries no advertising and no advertising trackers.
